The goal of every recruitment process is to find the right new staff person. Planning and preparation are important steps to ensuring your recruitment process runs smoothly and yields the best candidates possible. Here’s how to get started:

Step #1: Your Responsibility Center (RC) may have different internal practices. It’s always best to coordinate with the HR contact in your unit to confirm the practice.

Step #2: If needed, create a position, or classify a position in the IU Job Framework or create a part-time position. Your HR representative can assist in selecting the appropriate classification and type of job that is needed. Use the resources below to help you in this process.
