Paid Living Donor Leave (PLDL)

When you’re giving the gift of life to another

Paid living donor leave (PLDL) is available to you if you are an eligible staff member serving as bone marrow donor, or you are donating an organ (or part of an organ) to another person for transplantation.

To be eligible, you must be in a non-temporary position of 30 hours or more per week and have been continuously employed in a benefits-eligible position for at least 12 months prior to the leave.

You can read the PLDL policy and its procedures on the University Policy website, which is always up to date.
