Create a sense of belonging
New employees will have lots of questions and curiosities. During their first week, your role is to affirm their decision to come work at IU by creating belonging. Help them socialize to the university and the team and help them understand the organization’s purpose and how their role fits in. You should meet with your employee to get to know them better while sharing knowledge of internal processes and performance expectations. Also, they should continue to work on their knowledge assimilation and any required trainings.
