How changes in your work status affect your benefits

There are several employment changes that are recognized as qualifying life events, including leaving your position at the university, taking a leave of absence, or moving from a full to part-time position.

If your spouse recently gained or you lost non-IU health insurance, you also have the option to change your benefits outside of the open enrollment window.

Manage your benefits in IU’s Employee Center

If you want to see a summary of your benefits, make changes due to an IRS-qualified life event, change/add beneficiaries, get tax information, or make optional benefit changes (such as changing the amount of your HSA contribution), visit the Employee Center at One.IU.
