Plan features

Life and AD&D insurance provides financial protection for you and your loved ones in the event of your death, an accident that causes dismemberment or loss of sight, or a terminal illness diagnosis.

Your coverage under this plan includes:

This term life policy pays a benefit of $20,000 to your named beneficiary if you pass away (benefit amount reduces beginning at age 65).

This policy includes an AD&D benefit equal to the amount of your basic life benefit. AD&D provides additional financial protection if you pass away or are dismembered in a qualifying accident.

The accelerated life benefit pays up to 75% of the basic life benefit amount in one lump sum if you have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of 12 months or less.

An additional benefit of $10,000 is available if you pass away in a car accident where an AD&D benefit is payable, and you are wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, as evidenced by a police report.

An additional benefit of $5,000 is available if you pass away in a car accident where the seat belt benefit is payable, and the air bag is deployed at the time of the accident, as evidenced by a police report.

Additional benefits are payable to your spouse and children to assist with higher education, trades training, and childcare expenses following your death.

Your basic life policy also includes comprehensive travel assistance through Assist America. They can help you and your covered dependents prepare for trips more than 100 miles away or abroad, providing pre-trip guidance (like visa requirements, security alerts, currency info) and support during travel emergencies. While away, they offer 24/7 assistance with locating medical providers, legal referrals, or replacing lost passports, medications, or credit cards. In serious situations, Assist America can also arrange and cover emergency evacuations, medical repatriation, or even return of family, pets, and vehicles when medically necessary.
