Student and Scholar Health Insurance

Students who are required to have coverage are automatically enrolled in their plan and notified about the coverage at the beginning of each semester of enrollment at IU. This includes all international students and graduate-level professional science students who are in specific programs. International Scholars will be contacted with information on how to enroll when they arrive on campus. Appointed Postdoctoral Fellows and graduate students with a Student Academic Appointment or Fellowship Award may also be eligible for IU-sponsored health coverage. Students not eligible for other IU insurance plans can opt into a voluntary plan.
