Anthem PPO $500 Deductible
Both IU medical plans cover the same prescription drugs. The only difference is how you pay for them and how those costs apply to your plan's deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. Details on these differences can be found on pages 9 - 13 of the Open Enrollment guide.
CVS Caremark
- CVS Caremark Formulary (eff. 1/1/2026) - List of covered medications for both employee medical plans.
- No Cost Share Medication List (eff. 10/1/2025) - List of covered medications available at no cost under both employee medical plans.
- Find an In-Network Pharmacy
- HDHP Preventive Drug List (eff. 1/1/2026) - If you're enrolled on the Anthem PPO HDHP, these medications are covered right away without having to meet your deductible first. You only pay the 20% coinsurance from the start of the plan year.

After Open Enrollment is closed, you should review your other benefits that aren't tied to Open Enrollment, including your retirement plans, long term disability insurance, and life insurance. These benefits aren’t available to change during Open Enrollment because you can add, drop, or change your coverage (or, in the case of your retirement plans, your investments and contribution amounts) at any time during the year.
