Life Events and Benefits Changes
Qualifying life events – such as birth or adoption of a child, marriage, and leaves of absence – permit you to make changes to certain benefits plans during the calendar year outside of the annual Open Enrollment period. These qualifying life events are defined by Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code, and are based on individual circumstances and plan eligibility.
