Step 1: Create an IU computing account and enroll in Duo

Create an IU computing account

Before enrolling online in IU's benefit plans, you must have an IU computing account. Go to the following University Information Technology Services (UITS) page to create your account:

This process includes setting your Network ID—your "electronic identity" at IU. You will use this ID throughout IU's computing systems including email and to create more accounts.

Enroll in Duo

Once you have your computing account you'll need to enroll in IU's two-step authentication system, Duo. Here's how.

After you've set up your first computing account and completed your Duo enrollment, you'll be able to enroll in IU benefits.

Have your 10-digit employee ID number ready. Your hiring department has this number if you don't know it.
