Considerations for Leaders

Campus or unit-level permission and supervisory approval are necessary to work remotely.

Not all requests to work remotely can be approved due to the nature of the job. Decisions should be based upon whether or not an employee’s responsibilities can be performed from home and if they have the equipment and technology available to perform their job away from campus entirely. Leaders must intentionally design remote and hybrid work arrangements to maintain a vibrant on-campus culture and experience.

All remote work arrangements must be documented in the Remote Work Arrangement (RWA) System and must be reviewed annually.
