FLSA Status Questionnaire
The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is a federal law administered by the Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division. IU HR Compensation ensures compliance with the FLSA by providing training, guidance, support, and administrative oversight. Management and local HR representatives also have responsibility for ensuring labor law compliance, including the FLSA. Any fines or penalties associated with non-compliance with the FLSA will be the responsibility of the department/school/RC. For more information on FLSA exemptions, view the Department of Labor’s Wages and the Fair Labor Standards Act: 1, 2.
