Computer Access
If you do not have access to a computer, IU provides computer access for potential employees on the first floor lobby area of the Poplars Building, 400 East 7th St.
The IU main library at the corner of Jordan and 10th St. provides computers in the lobby area.
The Monroe County Public Library provides computers to patrons and offers FREE beginner courses on navigating the internet as a job seeker. Pre-register for classes by calling 812-349-3228. To learn more about using computers and applying on-line, pick up a brochure in the Adult Services department on the second floor of the Monroe County Public Library.
Need to Build Your Skills?
University Information Technology Services, IT Training & Education, provides workshops on more than 80 topics including training on Word and other Microsoft Office programs. These workshops are available at a moderate cost. Visit: ittraining.iu.edu for additional information.
Additional Resources and Assistance
WorkOne Bloomington assesses individual needs, abilities, and interests to help you match your skills with local, state, or federal government jobs. Vocational counseling staff can help you write a resume, sign up for an interactive job interviewing seminar, teach you appropriate dress, and provide you with all kinds of employment and training job search techniques. Special services are available for Veterans.
