Other Benefits Changes
You can enroll in or make changes to these plans at any time: IU Tuition Benefit, supplemental life insurance, long-term disability, and retirement plans (including your investments). These benefit changes can be made without experiencing an IRS-qualifying life event.
To enroll in or change your medical or dental coverage, supplemental AD&D insurance, or flexible spending accounts (FSA) mid-year, you must experience an IRS-qualifying life event, such as marriage or the birth of a child. Visit the Life Events amd Benefits Changes page for more information.

Health Savings Account
- Learn about the Health Savings Account (HSA)
- You can change, suspend, or stop HSA contributions at any time during the year by submitting an HSA Enrollment/Change Formor by submitting an online Optional Benefit Change through the Employee Center.
Note: those that enroll in the HSA or change their HDHP coverage level on or after September 1st will not receive IU’s contribution to their account for that year.
IU Tuition Benefit
The IU Tuition Benefit plan reduces the cost of IU courses for its employees and their dependents. Visit the IU Tuition Benefit page for full plan details and instructions to enroll.
Life Insurance
