Important Information for Employees
Protecting the IU Community (I Protect U)
- All academic and staff employees, students, contractors, suppliers, vendors, and visitors are required to wear face masks in all hallways, elevators, public spaces, common areas, cubicles, and when entering all IU buildings.
- All employees are encouraged to receive a COVID-19 vaccine when eligible and report your vaccination to IU.
- Staff and faculty who violate COVID-19 health and safety directives are subject to disciplinary action according to policy UA-21.
- Violations of COVID-19 health and safety directives can be reported online.
- Staff and faculty are to participate in contact tracing and mitigation testing.
- COVID-19 related leaves for specified reasons related to COVID-19 are available.
Working Through COVID-19
- All staff and faculty are responsible for adhering to the Community Responsibility Acknowledgement (CRA).
- IU staff and faculty should continue working and teaching remotely where possible until further notice.
- If required and approved to work on campus by a unit head, staff should follow the Stay Safe on Campus Guidance.
- To help maximize safety on campus, be aware of changes on campus.
- Staff and temporary recruitment and hiring is paused and a salary freeze is in effect until further notice.
