The dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education at IU Northwest serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the college, providing leadership and strategic direction. They are responsible for overseeing academic programs, faculty affairs, budget management, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards where applicable. This role plays a critical part in advancing the campus’s mission of academic excellence, innovation, student success, and community engagement.

The dean exercises broad responsibilities for all aspects of the academic, student, and external community dimensions in coordination with faculty and other university leaders. The next dean will continue to develop the strong teacher-scholar culture that supports academic excellence in teaching and learning, scholarly and creative work, and service to professional discipline, campus and regional stakeholders.
