This is supervisory and administrative work overseeing staff performing customer service and cash handling duties and maintaining records related to operations.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Supervises and coordinates tellers; schedules personnel and assigns tasks; monitors and evaluates job performance.
Researches unidentified items received for payment; determines appropriate action; processes and audits to ensure accuracy.
Gathers and collates financial information; prepares reports based on information including daily summary reports of cash receipts.
Receives and researches funds for scholarships; reviews checks and accompanying documentation.
Monitors daily banking lockbox transmission; identifies and resolves problems or difficulties regarding transmission; records daily deposit of funds from lockbox transmission.
Receives and processes foreign currency; refers for exchange; monitors exchange.
Reconciles and maintains operating fund; balances vault cash and cash drawers; maintains ledger of teller overages/shortages; prepares statistical reports; reconciles and maintains miscellaneous advances.
Receives credit card charge-back notices; researches and resolves discrepancies; completes and verifies transactions; provides documentation to bank processing center.

Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Two years cash handling experience.
