IU Benefits Video: A Recruitment and Orientation Tool

The last issue of The Informed Employee announced the deployment of the IU Benefits Video, a web-based resource for IU’s employee benefits program. As a recruitment tool, this video is an effective way for departments to showcase IU’s benefit plans and programs to job candidates; as an orientation tool for the new employee, the video introduces the University’s benefits programs, such as retirement plan provisions, features of the IU Tuition Benefit, and paid time off.

The video portrays content using photographs, animation, symbols, and onscreen text, and is customized for the three types of employees (Academic, Professional, and Support and Service). The content is easy to manage and organized in books and chapters approximately two to four minutes in length.
